So I know these girls have been around for a little while now, but I
only just decided to check out their music, and I’m really glad I did. All of
their voices are beautiful and their songs are so catchy and addictive.
Although I seriously love all of their songs, my current top 3 are; Who Are
You, BO$$ and Leave My Heart Out Of This; I also really enjoy listening to
their acoustic versions of the songs.
Book – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K Rowling
I have said in a pervious post that I don’t read very often as I am a
slow reader, but even I feel ashamed that for someone who loves Harry Potter as
much as I do, that I have never read the books. The Prisoner of Azkaban is my
favourite movie of the series and so far is my favourite book as well. If
you’re like me and have only watched the movies, I would highly recommend
reading the books as you will find out so much more detail and be so amazed at
how they transitioned the books and all their mind-blowing features into the
movies.
Website – Pottermore
Keeping with the theme above, my favourite website for this month,
and probably for the rest of my life, is Pottermore. I only just joined
Pottermore, and I’m trying to figure out why it took me so long. Such an
exciting part about the website when you first join is that you get to do all the
things all new student do when they get their acceptance letters. I was able to
buy an owl; a wand chose me and I got sorted into a house, Team Hufflepuff! I really love how the site brings the whole
Harry Potter community together and make you really feel like you belong there.
Also being able to do certain things like making potions, learning spells and
dueling is awesome, and all the points that you earn go towards your house
points. I really love this site and doubt I’ll ever leave it.
Phone Apps – Trivia Crack
I have only downloaded one new phone app since the New Year but it
is also definitely a new favourite of mine. Trivia Crack is a game that you can
play against your Facebook friends or random people around the world. All you
do is spin a wheel that lands on a topic and then answer a bunch or trivia
questions to try and win. The questions can be quite hard and I am really awful
at history but it’s still a lot of fun and very satisfying when you get an
answer right (especially if you guessed it).
So those are my Non-Beauty favourites for January. If you have any favourite non-beauty items that you think I should check out, let me know in
